Recognition of Our SDG Initiatives

BIKE O & COMPANY, Ltd. (hereafter the Company) was granted SDGs Promotion Loan* from Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (hereafter SMBC).

SMBC and Japan Research Institute recognized the prospect of contribution towards achieving the SDGs by reducing waste generation and traffic accidents through motorcycle purchasing/sales business as well as promotion of health management and workstyle reforms.

We will continue promoting initiatives related to SDGs.

  • *SDGs Promotion Loan is a loan that requires prior confirmation by SMBC and Japan Research Institute on the state of initiatives related to SDGs by the company. They also analyze the logic behind the contribution to the SDGs through the company's core business and provide advice in promoting its SDGs initiatives.
What are SDGs?

Sustainable Development Goals are international targets to meet by 2030 to achieve a better and more sustainable world, which were included in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development unanimously adopted by all member countries at the UN Sustainable Development Summit in September 2015 as a follow-up of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) formulated in 2001.
